How much memory is right for you? (Memory)
The M1 chip brings superfast unified memory to MacBook Pro. This single pool of high-bandwidth, low-latency memory allows apps to share data between the CPU, GPU, and Neural Engine efficiently — so everything you do is fast and fluid.
Your MacBook Pro comes standard with 8GB of memory and can be expanded to 16GB. The more memory your Mac has, the more apps you can run simultaneously and the better they will perform.
Note: MacBook Pro memory is not user accessible. If you think you’ll need additional memory, it’s important to upgrade at the time of purchase.
How much storage is right for you? (Storage)
Your MacBook Pro comes standard with 256GB of superfast SSD storage.³ You can configure it with up to 2TB, giving you more space to store your documents, photos, music, videos, and apps.
Note: MacBook Pro storage is not user accessible. If you think you may need more storage capacity in the future, consider upgrading at the time of purchase.
